The ingredients needed to make Marinara Sauce:
  1. Make ready 6-7 tomatoes
  2. Make ready 1 big Onion finely chopped
  3. Prepare 4 tsp garlic finely chopped
  4. Take 1 carrot finely chopped (1/2 cup)
  5. Make ready 2 tbsp cilantro finely chopped (or coriander stalks)
  6. Take 2 dried bay leaf (tez patta)
  7. Take 1/2 tsp black pepper

  9. Get 1/2 cup olive oil (or vegetable oil)
Instructions to make Marinara Sauce:
  1. Blanch tomatoes in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Remove peels & seeds. Chop in very small pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions & garlic. Saute until translucent on slow flame. (about 7-8 minutes)
  4. Add cilantro, carrots & bay leaf. Saute all. Cook it on slow flame until vegetables cooked. (about 7-8 minutes)
  5. Add tomatoes, salt, red & black pepper. Saute it until tomatoes cooked & becomes soft like thick sauce.
  6. Remove from gas. Marinara sauce is ready. Let it cool.
  7. Store it in air tight jar. Serve it with your favourite pasta or spaghetti.
