- Prepare 3 cups whole wheat flour
- Take 1 tbsp. oil to knead
- Get pinch baking soda (opt)
- Prepare 1/2 tsp. sugar
- Take 1 small beetroot, boiled & pureed
- Get 1 cup tightly packed spinach, blanched & pureed
- Get To taste salt
- Prepare As needed oil to shallow fry

Grind coriander seeds to a coarse powder. Finely chop green chillies and cilantro leaves. (Add green chillies keeping in mind the sweetness of beetroot.) Peel the beetroot skin and grate it. After a minute, add grated beetroot and green chillies. Saute till beetroot is cooked and moisture.
Instructions to make Beet Spinach Paratha:
- Mix oil, sugar and baking soda to the flour. Now divide into three equal portions. To one portion, add the spinach puree and knead into a dough. Add water if required. Keep aside.
- To the second portion, add the beetroot puree and knead into a dough with required quantity of water. Keep aside.
- Knead the remaining flour with enough water and keep aside for 10-15 minutes. Roll all the three dough separately into a big circle, just like chapatti by dusting some flour.
- Stack them one over the other and roll them tightly from one end to the other. Cut into 1/2" thick rounds. Roll out each round into a round paratha.
- Heat a tawa and fry them on both sides till light golden in colour by drizzling some oil over it and around the edges.
- Serve them hot with any side dish.
Beetroot paratha recipe - Healthy & colorful beetroot paratha for toddlers and kids. These make a great Breakfast and also go well in the lunch box. They are good to serve with a chutney, dal or any curry. These parathas can also be used to make wraps or kathi rolls for the after school snack. I also make paneer and egg rolls using these beetroot paratha similar to the way I made these Paneer.
