Grated Beetroot curry is a very simple preparation combined with onions, green chillies, grated beetroot and split yellow moong dal with spices. It's not a spicy but quite a mild dish.

  1. Wash beet root properly. Peel the skin and chopped it. Grind coarsely with 2 green chilli, few garlic cloves, 1" ginger. And
  2. Heat oil in cooker. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 2 whole dry red chilli (broken) and 1 bay leaf. Fry for few minutes. Then add moon dak (wash properly twice and soak for 5 minutes). Fry it for few minutes. Then add grated beetroot. Saute it for few minutes.
  3. Add all the dry ingredients 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder and 1 tsp cumin powder and coriander powder. Fry it for few minutes. Add limited water
  4. Mix….well. Close the lid and wait for three whistle. Once it is done
  5. Transfer to a serving plate. Pour tempering on the curry. Immediately serve hot….Moong Dal Curry with… Hot……..Phulkas
