- Grind the soaked rice, cumin seeds,garlic, green chilli in a blender to medium consistency. It shouldn't be a very smooth paste nor should not be runny. It should be a little granular.
- Add salt, a pinch of turmeric powder and mix well. Set aside.
- Cut out lower part/sepal of the flower, except the petal and clean them well under running water and Pat dry using tissue/paper napkin
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan/tawa on a medium flame.
- Take one flower at a time, dip in batter shake off excess batter and place on the pan.
- Repeat this step for the rest of the flowers. Cook till they crisp on one side.it would take roughly 2 mins
- Then flip the other side and cook. drizzle little oil as and when required.. Fry till both sides of the pumpkin flower are crisp.
- Kakharu Phula Pitha/Bhaja is ready to be served hot.
