Well I was trying to link it to Wikipedia so it would be easier but the Bhaji that was described was totally different then I expected. It was what we call Bhajia, which are deep fired fritter made with garbanzo bean flour, onions, spices,… About: Pav bhaji, is a very popular indian street food. Pav bhaji literally means bread and vegetables. The vegetables are cooked and mashed then spiced with a pav bhaji masala and generally topped with generous quantities of butter and served with pav/bun.

Instructions to make Green Bhaji:
  1. Mix ingredients for chutney in a chutney jar. Add a little water to grind. Make chutney. Boil potatoes, peel and cut roughly mashing and breaking them a bit. Cut capsicum into small dices.
  2. Take oil in a pan. Splatter mustard seeds when it's hot. Add asafoetida followed by sesame seeds, green chillies, capsicum, and curry leaves, turmeric PW and salt. Fry a bit. Then add potatoes. Mix everything well.
  3. Add green chutney and mix again. Cover and cook on low flame for qbout 5 minutes or until everything is blended well, spices are/chutney is cooked and the oil oozes out. Take out in a serving plate and serve hot with puri.
