  2. Take As required Oil
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp Red chilli powder

  6. Prepare 1 tbsp Jeera powder
  7. Prepare 1 tsp Kasoor methi
  8. Get 1/2 tsp Haldi powder
  9. Take 1 Lemon
  10. Make ready 1 tsp Garam masala
  11. Get 1 Onion paste
  12. Get 2 Tomotes paste

Bharwa Bhindi (Stuffed Okra) is a popular Indian side dish where the okra is stuffed with spicy & tangy masala filling. This vegan & gluten free dish is a perfect side with Indian roti or paratha, or even great to enjoy as an appetizer. He loves okra so much that I have to make many different bhindi recipes. Steps to make Bharwa bhindi:
  1. Wash and dry the bhindi make a slit on it.
  2. Prepare masala to be filled in a bowl. Take haldi, mirchi, zeera dhaniya powder, salt, lemon and mix and keep it ready.
  3. Fill all the bhindi and keep aside.
  4. Take onion paste into kadai add oil saute till light brown. Take tomatoes paste and saute. Put ginger garlic paste and cook.
  5. Finally add the bhindi and cook by covering with lid until bhindi is cooked.
  6. Lastly, put some garam masala powder and kasuri methi. Ready to serve.

Wipe them dry with kitchen towel or paper towel very well. Bharwa bhindi (in hindi bharwa = stuffed, bhindi = okra) is a versatile recipe and the ingredients can be tweaked based on what you have in your pantry. I am posting bharwa bhindi recipe with besan, onions and loads of peanuts which lend a lovely crunch to this gluten free, vegan dish.
