Steps to make Chana Dal Halwa:
  1. Firstly boil the chana dal in 2 cups of water. Let it cool. Then grind the dal in mixier jar. Add little water. Consistency should be little thick.
  2. Once the grinding is over. Take a kadai, add ghee and let it turn slightly hot. Add cloves and jaggery. Let the jaggery melt well. Cook in low flame and keep stirring unless it turns lovely brown.
  3. Once the jaggery has turned nice lovely brown and totally melted add the dal and mix well. Keep stirring and let it not stick to the vessel. Crush the cardamoms and add it. Add all the dry fruits and mix well so that all the ingredients are coated well in jaggery. Once the ghee starts releasing you know the halwa is absolutely ready. Serve hot.
