- Uncover and allow the celery to continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the liquid has been reduced to a glaze.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with the reserved leaves
The celery was so tender and flavorful even my husband RAVED about it (and I was a little leary serving it to him to begin with). I know the thought of braised celery doesn't sound very exciting, but try it when you are in the mood for something different! Celery has such a lot going for it as a raw ingredient in salads, and because of that we rather forget how good it is cooked and served as a vegetable. This method is delightfully quick and easy, and tastes just wonderful.
