The ingredients needed to make Creamy kheer:
  1. Prepare 2 tbsp rice(washed)
  2. Get 1 litre boiled milk(preferably full fat)
  3. Make ready 4 tbsp sweetened condensed milk,can add more if sweeter kheer required
  4. Prepare 1/2 tbsp cashews chopped
  5. Take 1/2 tbsp almonds chopped
  6. Get few raisins
  7. Take pinch cardamom powder
  8. Get few strands saffron soaked in a tbsp of warm milk for flavor

Add remaining milk mix well and switch off. This kheer thickens with time so switch off when its still a bit runny. It gave the kheer a creamy rich flavor similar to condensed milk. I used dates, raisins, walnuts and pistachio but you can use any dry fruit and nut combo.

Steps to make Creamy kheer:
  1. Take a heavy bottomed pan,add milk and uncooked washed rice.
  2. Let the mixture cook/boil on low flame for an hour.stir from time to time to mix.the milk thickens and the rice will cook and turn soft.Add saffron and stir the mix.Finally,after an hour,the milk and rice mix will become medium thick.
  3. Add cardamom powder.Add condensed milk and mix well and remove from flame.
  4. Transfer kheer into serving bowl.garnish with raisins,almonds,cashews.
  5. Serve it hot or chill in fridge for 2 hours before serving.
  6. Creamy kheer is ready.
