The ingredients needed to make Rice Kheer:
  1. Take 1 cup Basmati Rice
  2. Get 1 teaspoon Ghee
  3. Take 2 cups Sugar
  4. Take 1 litre Full Cream Milk
  5. Prepare 1 pinch Green Cardamom powder
  6. Take handful Nuts and Raisins

It is basically rice pudding made with rice and milk infused with saffron, cardamom and assorted dried fruits. Don't be put off by the texture of this pudding! Kheer is the original rice pudding, which became part of western cuisine. Rinse a deep non-stick pan with ¼ cup.

Steps to make Rice Kheer:
  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Strain the water out and in a pan dry roast it adding with 1 teaspoon of ghee until it's colour change to golden brown. Then keep it aside.
  3. Take a deep pan and pour the full cream milk and bring to a boil. After the milk gets boiled add the roasted rice and cook it to soft and tender.
  4. When the rice gets cooked add sugar and mix it well and stir inbetween till it gets thicken.
  5. Atlast add cardamom powder, stir and garnish with dry nuts and raisins.
  6. Serve hot or chilled.
