Through doing this there's no need to add extra tomato puree, as this just made the meal too soupy..   3. Mix all the ingredients into besan batter and mix properly and add salt as per your taste
  4. Now add potatoes to the batter. Heat the oil on medium flame. Now coat aloo in batter nicely and deep fry them in oil.
  5. When potatoes are finished then add chopped onion and chilles to besan and mix. Now make pakoda into oil and fry them until become golden and crispy.. now enjoy😀

I used canned tomatoes instead of fresh and added some coriander seed and this recipe tasted almost exactly like the aloo subji that my mother inlaw makes. I found this recipe to be a very good base for an authentic Indian dish it just needs a very changes for a more authentic Indian flavor.
