Methi leaves is a God's gift to us. It is so health and an important herb that we should include very frequently in our cooking. It is rich in protien, calcium, iron. Minerals and vitamins are also very high.
Instructions to make Punjabi Dum aloo with fenugreek leaves:
- Drain potatoes and fry in hot oil.
- In a kadai, sauté finely chopped onions and ginger garlic paste in oil and then add tomatoes to it.
- Season it with salt, pepper,turmeric And red chilli powder and Let them cook, till oil separates and then add curd into it. Mix well so that curd does not curdle.
- Soak cashews in hot milk.
- Now purée them and add in the kadai. This will thicken the gravy.
- Cover and Let it cook for sometime.
- Finally once cooled add fried potatoes to it and give it a mix.
- Cover and cook for some time and then add coriander powder to it.
- Finally add dried fenugreek leaves and onion seeds to enhance it's flavours.
- Serve hot with roti or paranthas.
